S.T.E.A.M. Summit participation for a stronger workforce

By Nate Nordstrom November 18, 2017

This past week, four members of our team participated in the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (S.T.E.A.M.) summit held at Rochester Community and Technical College. It’s been a fun event for us every year, but this time our team took things up a notch by creating a fun and interactive “super power” animation. It was a combination of art, technology, and even some math behind the scenes.

Perhaps the coolest part of our little project was that the animation grew and changed in real-time as students input their school and choice of super power, resulting in visuals that grew more dynamic with every student addition throughout the day.

It was fun to engage the students, share ideas, and answer a lot of great questions.

Thanks to all those who work hard behind the scenes to make this event a success year after year! Working with students is always a rewarding experience.

Our local newspaper also covered the event and included a brief mention of our project: http://www.postbulletin.com/news/education/not-your-average-career-fair/article_206d6d62-a995-5684-b30d-3d51e8c09699.html
