ACCE Convention 2017, Nashville

By Nate Nordstrom August 15, 2017

ACCE is a great place to meet other chamber leaders and explore opportunities to partner.

This was our first year as ACCE members and we jumped in with both feet. In July, I got a chance to attend the 2017 convention in Nashville. Music City and the ACCE staff were great hosts.

ChamberForce takes flight

Workforce development was a big topic among the 50+ chambers I was able to speak with. The challenges of each region are somewhat unique, but in many ways the same. We often discussed challenges such as: not enough youth growing up and staying in their community, not enough fresh talent attraction from outside their region, underemployed local workers, not enough internship opportunities, lack of awareness of existing resources, not enough cohesive regional effort (yet), and more.

We previewed our exciting new product called ChamberForce, which is a powerful workforce development platform built from scratch for chambers, their members, and their community. The platform has been created in close collaboration with Minnesota’s largest chamber, the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce.

If you work for a chamber or know someone who does, we would love an opportunity to show you what we’re cooking up here in Minnesota. Workforce is a big and growing issue. Good technology solutions are long overdue. Learn more about ChamberForce here: chamberforce.com
